Fu'an is a county-level city in Ningde, on the coast of Fujian province, and one of the places where the alternators inside Chinese generator sets are made. If a quotation from a Fujian supplier names an alternator you have not heard of, there is a fair chance it was wound in Fu'an. What the Fu'an cluster is
Three dated sources describe the cluster without relying on anyone's marketing.
- Designations. The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products lists the China Small and Medium-Sized Motor Export Base in Fu'an City, established in June 2008. The China Machinery Industry Federation conferred the title "China's Small and Medium Motor Capital" on Fu'an at the provincial motor-industry supply and demand event held in the city on 25 October 2024, as reported by Xinhua Fujian, which also notes more than 60 years of motor manufacturing there.
- Scale. A Xinhua report of 7 July 2025 counts more than 1,000 motor, electrical-appliance and supporting enterprises in Fu'an, puts the industry's above-designated-size output at RMB 13.319 billion in 2024, and estimates first-quarter 2025 exports of motor and electrical products at about RMB 1.8 billion, up more than 30 percent year on year.
- Shape. The same report traces the industry to the 1950s and describes a chain of generator, electric-motor, pump and massage-appliance makers with casting and stamping suppliers around them. For a generator buyer that means alternators, motors, frames and panels can be sourced within a short drive, which is why both small assemblers and large genset builders sit in the same towns.
Two cautions. The figures cover the whole motor and electrical industry, not generator sets alone, and "motor capital" describes the cluster, not any single company in it.
Where Fu'an is and how goods leave
Fu'an lies north of Fuzhou on the Fujian coast. Sea freight from the cluster normally leaves through Fuzhou port or the Ningde port area; Quanzhou and Xiamen further south are used when a forwarder consolidates there. Which port appears on your quotation changes the inland leg and the cut-off dates, so confirm the port of loading before you compare FOB prices.
Three kinds of company, and how to tell them apart
Fu'an company names rarely tell you what the company does. Sort every candidate into one of three groups before you compare prices, because each group can certify different things.

The quickest way to see which group you are talking to is the alternator nameplate on the set you are quoted. An assembler that buys alternators will show a plate from another company; an alternator maker will show its own.

1. Fuan Premia Power Co., Ltd.
Premia's home page describes a Fu'an generator company established in 2006, with a Hong Kong company from 2004 and the Fu'an manufacturing plant from 2008. It lists diesel generator sets from 5 kVA to 4,000 kVA in open, silent, container and trailer formats, lighting towers, transfer and synchronising panels, load banks and alternators.
Best for: project sets from an assembler that also builds alternators. Ask for: the alternator data sheet for the set you are quoted and the engine options at your rating.
2. BEAR (our brand)
BEAR is the generator brand of Fuan Hehuoxiong Electromechanical Co., Ltd., based in Fu'an. The range on this site covers open-frame and silent gasoline generators, gasoline inverter generators, open-frame and silent diesel sets, welding generators, SG diesel generator sets from 30 kW to 500 kW and portable power stations, and every catalogue product can be configured to order. The factory page shows the plant, and the OEM/ODM page lists what can be changed.
Best for: importers and distributors who want small first orders (a confirmed in-stock model ships from one unit), a configurable catalogue rather than a fixed SKU list, sample units and factory visits by appointment, and one inquiry contact. For buyers in the Eurasian Economic Union, EAC declarations of conformity exist for the diesel and gasoline models named in those declarations, not for every model on this site; copies are available on request. 4. Fuan Longkai Power (福安隆凯电机有限公司)
Longkai's about page states a 2002 founding, a 46,000 m² plant in Fu'an's Tiehu industrial zone, generator sets from 10 kVA to 3,300 kVA in open, silent, trailer and container formats, alternators, seven assembly lines with a stated monthly capacity of 800 sets and 2,000 alternators, and dealers in more than 60 countries.
Best for: mid-size and large sets with alternators from the same plant. Ask for: the engine brand per rating and the alternator data sheet.
5. Fu'an Dellent Electric & Machinery Co., Ltd.
Dellent's about page states a 2001 founding in Fu'an, diesel generator sets from 4 kVA to 2,300 kVA, exports to more than 80 countries, a 15,000 m² production area with 80 workers, and CE and SONCAP certificate statements.
Best for: diesel sets from 4 to 2,300 kVA from a long-established assembler. Ask for: the test report format and the engine brand per set.
6. JustPower Equipment (Fuan) Co., Ltd.
Justpower's about page places the company in Fu'an and states exports to nearly 100 countries and regions; its CCCME profile describes 5 to 2,000 kVA super-silent, silent and open sets together with synchronous alternators.
Best for: sets with the alternator from the same company. Ask for: the alternator nameplate data per set and the engine brand per rating.
7. Fuan Keliang Electrical Machinery Co., Ltd.
Keliang's about page states a March 2011 founding with a predecessor company from 1991, a Fu'an site of 11,000 m² with 16,000 m² of buildings, 160 staff, and electric motors, pumps, alternators and generator sets as its lines.
Best for: component buyers who also want small sets from the same source. Ask for: a statement of which items are own-made and which are bought in.
8. Fujian Extec Power Machinery Co., Ltd.
Extec's about page describes a small-engine and generator maker in Fu'an with a 10,000 m² site, a stated capacity of 300,000 small engines and 200,000 complete sets a year, generators from 0.65 kW to 8 kW and CE, GS and SAA certificate statements.
Best for: small portable sets and the engines that drive them. Ask for: the certificate scope per model.
Other names you will meet. Fujian Fukai Electric, an alternator and motor maker whose plant the Xinhua report photographed in the Fu'an Economic Development Zone, sells TWG-based brushless alternators and IE3 and IE4 motors; Mampson is a brand owned by a Chengdu company that names Fu'an Dagus Power Machinery as its manufacturing base for sets from 3 kW to 2,000 kW. Landtop sells from a Fuzhou headquarters and names a manufacturing base in Fu'an's Tiehu industrial area for its 5 to 2,500 kVA sets, alternators and motors. Within an hour or two of Fu'an, Fuzhou hosts set builders such as Hosem (10 to 2,500 kVA) and Kentpower (5 to 3,000 kVA), and United Power (established 2003), which builds engines, gasoline, inverter and diesel generators; KEYPOWER (established 1998, exporting to more than 100 countries) states a Fujian factory without naming the city.
